(NLDO) - Domestic gold prices continued to increase at the end of the day, with SJC gold bars reaching their highest level in the past 3 months.

On the evening of February 3, the price of SJC gold bars was simultaneously pushed up to the highest level of the year by SJC, PNJ, and DOJI companies, with buying at 87.8 million VND/tael and selling at 89.8 million VND/tael, a total increase of 1 million VND per tael compared to yesterday.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company traded SJC gold bar prices at a lower level, buying at 87.8 million VND/tael, selling at 89.75 million VND/tael.

ACB and Sacombank banks sold SJC gold bars at 88.8 million VND/tael, while Eximbank sold at 89.3 million VND/tael.

Domestic gold prices continue to increase sharply

This is a sharp increase in gold prices in recent days. The difference between buying and selling prices has been maintained at a high level of 2 million VND/tael. Gold prices are at their highest level in the past 3 months.

Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold of all kinds also skyrocketed. Enterprises such as SJC and PNJ listed the buying price at 87.5 million VND/tael; DOJI alone bought at 88.1 million VND/tael. On the selling side, the highest trading price of gold rings was 89.2 to 89.5 million VND/tael, a total increase of 700,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday.

Domestic gold prices have not stopped rising sharply right after the Lunar New Year holiday, in the context of the world gold price also continuing to rise. If in the morning session, the world gold price fell deeply to 2,780 USD/ounce, then up to now, according to Vietnam time, it has increased to over 2,800 USD/ounce.

The all-time high of gold price was set in the past few days, at 2,820 USD/ounce in the context of investors seeking gold as a safe haven. The US tariff policy applied to Canada, Mexico... made investors worry about increasing global economic risks.

Not only gold, the USD price also strengthened in the international market. The USD index measuring the strength of the greenback surpassed the 109.2 point mark, up 0.93% compared to the previous session.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 86 million VND/tael.
