Summary and award ceremony of the short story writing contest "Imprints of homeland and people of Phu Tho - Yen Bai"

On December 14, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association organized a summary and award ceremony for the short story writing contest in the Literature and Arts Magazine of the three provinces of Phu Tho, Yen Bai , and Lao Cai with the theme "Imprints of the homeland and people of Phu Tho - Yen Bai - Lao Cai" round III, year III.

The short story writing contest with the theme "Imprints of the homeland and people of Phu Tho - Yen Bai - Lao Cai " Round III, the third year was launched from December 2023. By the end of October 30, 2024, the Organizing Committee had received 86 works from 42 authors, who are professional and amateur writers and prose writers from 3 provinces. Of which, Phu Tho has 32 works from 15 authors, Yen Bai has 28 works from 16 authors, Lao Cai has 26 works from 15 authors.

In general, the works deeply exploit the beauty of the land and local people, reflect the reality of life, bear the mark of the homeland and region, convey messages about family, friendship, love, mention vividly and deeply, meet the interest of readers. Many works are evaluated to have tight plots, sharp writing style, clear ideas, exploit the character's mood well, have attractive storytelling, imbued with the style of the mountainous region, ethnic groups, showing the author's enthusiasm and creative efforts.

Delegates awarded certificates to the authors who won the Encouragement Prize.

The Organizing Committee and the Jury selected 11 best works and awarded 1 First Prize to author Vu Huyen Trang (Phu Tho) with the work "Poisoning", 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 5 Encouragement Prizes.

The short story writing contest “Imprints of the homeland and people of Phu Tho - Yen Bai - Lao Cai” round III, year 3 is a practical activity to enhance the exchange, learning and solidarity of artists; contribute to improving the quality of the literary magazine of each province, create conditions to inspire creativity, discover talents in the field of literature of literature lovers of the 3 provinces of Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Lao Cai.
