Toyota Innova Cross is about to have a new low-cost version in Vietnam

According to predictions, the new version of the MPV Toyota Innova Cross in Vietnam will have a selling price of only around 700 - 800 million VND.

Toyota Innova Cross is a mid-size MPV that was first launched in the Vietnamese market in October 2023. After 2 years, this model is preparing to have a new low-cost version. According to some sources, the new version of Toyota Innova Cross will be officially introduced in Vietnam in the fourth quarter of this year, but will cut equipment to reduce the selling price and increase customer accessibility.

It is not yet clear what equipment will be cut in the new version of Toyota Innova Cross. It is only known that the car will continue to be imported from Indonesia and use a 4-cylinder, 2.0L gasoline engine with a CVT automatic transmission. This engine produces a maximum capacity of 172 horsepower and a maximum torque of 205 Nm.

Specifically, Toyota Innova Cross in Vietnam currently has 2 versions: Gasoline and Hybrid with prices ranging from 825 million to 1.005 billion VND. One of the biggest advantages of this car model is that it is fully equipped right from the standard version.

It is very likely that the new version of Toyota Innova Cross was born to fill the gap after the old generation Innova was discontinued in Vietnam.

Previously, the old Toyota Innova model in Vietnam cost 750 million VND. In addition, the appearance of new competitors such as VinFast Limo Green also increased pressure on the MPV Toyota Innova model.

Toyota Innova Cross is currently the best-selling MPV model of the Japanese company in Vietnam, although the sales are not much different from the smaller, lower-priced Veloz model. In the segment, Innova Cross is the best-selling model, 5 times more than its competitor Hyundai Custin.

In September alone, VinFast Limo Green was the leading name. In March, Toyota increased the price of Innova Cross by 15-23 million VND. For the first time since its first sale in October 2023, the price of Innova Cross exceeded 1 billion VND.
