On March 11, the People's Committee of Sam Son City organized forces to enforce the handover of land to 11 households to investors for the Sea Square Urban Area project.
Provincial police force deployed to ensure security and order at the enforcement session.
The Sea Square Urban Area Project is one of three counterpart projects to implement the Sea Square Project, the Sam Son City Festival Landscape Axis in the form of public-private partnership (BT contract) approved by competent authorities. The total affected land area of all four projects is about 400.11 hectares, affecting 7,681 households in five wards: Quang Tien, Quang Chau, Trung Son, Bac Son and Truong Son; of which about 3,500 households have residential land.
Sam Son City People's Committee officials propagate and mobilize people to comply with the enforcement.
According to the People's Committee of Sam Son City, to implement the project, households and individuals whose land must be recovered have agreed with the State's policies and regulations and complied with the handover of the land. However, 11 households in Trung Ky residential group, Trung Son ward have not yet complied with the State's regulations and have given many different reasons.
People's assets are counted for preservation.
The residential land of these 11 households is located in the resettlement area to allocate land to households subject to relocation and resettlement to implement projects under BT contracts. This means that the delay in handing over the land in this area will affect the progress of the remaining projects.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Sam Son City has decided to resolve the complaints of the households that filed complaints. Some households that filed complaints for the second time have also been resolved by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee according to the provisions of law.
Sam Son City also secured people's property during the enforcement process.
The resettlement plan for households has also been approved by the City People's Committee. City authorities at all levels have repeatedly disseminated and explained the State's regulations and policies and encouraged households to relocate so that the State can reclaim their land.
Security and order in the enforced area are absolutely guaranteed.
In order to ensure the strictness of the law and the progress of handing over clean land to investors to implement the project, the People's Committee of Sam Son City has decided to forcibly reclaim land from these 11 households. The documents, procedures and steps of enforcement have also been consulted with the authorities and have been responded to ensure compliance with the law.
