Thu Duc City receives opinions from parents about extra teaching and learning

The People's Committee of Thu Duc City (HCMC) has just issued a directive on extra teaching and learning in accordance with Circular 29 of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City assigned the Thu Duc Department of Education and Training to implement the contents related to regulations on extra teaching and learning:

• Organize and thoroughly implement the regulations of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training according to Circular No. 29 on extra teaching and learning and current documents.
• In coordination with relevant agencies, the People's Committees of 34 wards organize, review and inspect extra teaching and learning activities in the management area.

Thu Duc City assigned the Department of Economics - Planning and Investment to carry out the following contents:

• Provide guidance, information and implementation of administrative procedures related to business registration according to the provisions of law in Thu Duc City.
• Coordinate with the Department of Science - Technology and Information to carry out communication work on business registration to people in need in accordance with regulations.

Thu Duc City Government assigned the People's Committees of 34 wards to:

• Develop a plan to coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio -political organizations to propagate to union members, association members, and people of all walks of life, and strengthen the supervisory role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and organizations in extra teaching and learning activities in the area.
• Coordinate with the Department of Education and Training and relevant agencies to manage and review the implementation of regulations on extra teaching and learning in the area.
• Coordinate with the city's functional agencies to monitor and inspect compliance with legal regulations on working hours, overtime hours and legal regulations on security, order, safety, environmental sanitation, fire prevention and fighting of organizations and individuals providing extra teaching and learning in the area according to the provisions of law.

At the same time, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City assigned the following tasks to the heads of educational institutions:

• Organize, disseminate and propagate to cadres, civil servants, teachers, staff, students and parents about Circular 29 regulating extra teaching and learning.
• Thoroughly educate all cadres and teachers in the education and training sector to strictly implement regulations on extra teaching and learning; resolutely prevent illegal extra teaching and learning inside and outside of schools; coordinate in monitoring and inspecting extra teaching activities outside of schools of teachers teaching at the school (when requested).
• Schools absolutely must not slacken in organizing review and training for students with unsatisfactory learning results; organize for final year students to strengthen review for entrance exams and graduation exams according to the school's education plan; determine that this is the responsibility of schools to help students meet the requirements for each subject of each grade according to the regulations of the 2018 General Education Program.
• Timely detect, handle and propose appropriate solutions to difficulties and problems in the process of implementing Circular 29.
• Receive and handle opinions, recommendations and wishes of students and parents about extra teaching and learning before and during the organization process.
