The program is part of the "Autumn Moon at the Border" series of activities organized by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army in Tay Ninh province.
Attending the event were Colonel Nguyen Hong Canh - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 7; Colonel Nguyen Van Hoan - Deputy Director of the Military Radio and Television Center; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Thuy Hoa - Chief of Office of the Committee for Population, Family and Children, Ministry of National Defense ; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Minh Tam - Deputy Director of Military Hospital 7A and leaders of Chau Thanh commune.
At the program, 200 children, the elderly, policy beneficiaries, poor households, and people in difficult circumstances received medical examinations, health consultations, and medicine.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee mobilized Bao Dai Rice Milling Company Limited to donate 500 portions of rice to the people. The total value of support resources is 300 million VND.
Every Mid-Autumn Festival, "Border Moon" is organized by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, to demonstrate the role of officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army in caring for children and people in all parts of the country, especially in remote border areas and islands. Thereby, contributing to spreading the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" among the people, contributing to building a strong local political system, a solid local defense area./.
