The award ceremony of the 2024 Regional Competition "Women in Creative Startups and Green Transformation" in the Northern region took place on October 2, 2024, honoring outstanding Startup Projects that have been spreading the spirit of entrepreneurship widely in the Region and the whole country.

The Northern Regional Women Entrepreneurship Competition is an opportunity to honor winning projects and spread the spirit of entrepreneurship widely in the Region and the whole country, to have more businesses and entrepreneurs start up, promoting the green and sustainable development of the country.

According to the Organizing Committee of the Competition, there has probably never been a competition as difficult and arduous as the Final Round of the Northern Region Women's Entrepreneurship Competition 2024, which took place in the context of the region being heavily affected by storm No. 3 ( Yagi ), causing floods and landslides in the Northern provinces. However, above all, the determination and enthusiasm for the startup movement of members and women in the Northern provinces and cities unanimously overcame all difficulties and challenges and successfully completed the competition contents.

The selected Startup Projects are typical projects of women entrepreneurs from 21 provinces and cities in the Northern region and the Vietnam Association of Intellectual Women.

In the 3 series of Final and Award Ceremony events of the 2024 Competition "Women's Creative Startup and Green Transformation" at the Regional level in the South, Central and North, propaganda articles about the Competition were published in the Vietnam Women's Newspaper to spread the spirit of entrepreneurship widely to members and women across the country.

2024 is the 6th year that the Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee organizes the Women's Entrepreneurship Competition with the theme "Women's innovative startups and green transformation" (Competition). This is one of the key activities of the Project "Supporting women entrepreneurs for the period 2017 - 2025" approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 939/QD-TTg dated June 30, 2017 (Project 939).

The contest is organized to motivate and encourage women of all classes and ages to actively participate in starting a business; starting a business; searching, selecting, and awarding prizes to honor enterprises/cooperatives/cooperative groups/business households owned or managed by women with outstanding initiatives in improving the production process of new products and services; new business models using renewable energy sources; organic, clean, circular, environmentally friendly production... to meet the goal of ensuring a green transformation process according to principles of equality, inclusiveness, enhancing the resilience and competitiveness of the economy , contributing to the implementation of the Government's National Strategy on Green Growth for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

Ideas and projects focus on initiatives in using clean energy and renewable energy; organic and circular agricultural production; efficient use of local resources, minimizing pollution and greenhouse gas emissions; saving raw materials, energy and natural resources, water and chemicals; having safe products that are good for human health and environmentally friendly, solving urgent and necessary social problems and creating practical values ​​for the community, with the goal of economic development and ensuring environmental sustainability.

After the preliminary round and training, the Startup Projects have completed detailed project presentations to participate in the regional semi-finals. The award ceremony of the Northern Regional Women's Startup Competition will be held from October 2, 2024 in Hanoi. The selected Startup Projects are typical projects of women entrepreneurs from 21 provinces and cities in the Northern region and the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals.
