Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 has partners from Israel, China, and the US

Major General Le Ngoc Than - Director of Politics of the General Department of Defense Industry, said that the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 will be open free of charge and without age restrictions for visitors.

Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 is scheduled to be held from December 19 to 22 at Gia Lam Airport ( Hanoi ).

This is one of the key activities in a series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.

The US, Russia, and Italy have registered to exhibit in the outdoor area.

At the press conference on activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, Major General Le Ngoc Than said that as of November 11, on the international side, more than 140 organizations and companies from 27 countries had registered to participate in displaying products.

Compared to the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2022, this year there are 239 more booths.

Of these, three countries registered to exhibit in the outdoor area: the US, Russia and Italy.

The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 will be much larger in both area and number of guests compared to the first time in 2022.

During this exhibition, 69 types of weapons and equipment researched, developed and produced by the army from 2022 to present will be on display.

"This year, we will welcome many partners from countries with developed defense industries such as Russia, India, Israel, China, the US... This is a cooperation opportunity for weapons manufacturers.

Our Vietnam has a self-reliant, self-reliant, and self-reliant defense industry. However, through this exhibition, it is also an opportunity for Vietnam to seek, cooperate, and learn from countries with advanced and modern defense industries," Major General Le Ngoc Than informed.

Free admission, no age limit for visitors

For more information, Major General Le Ngoc Than said that after the opening ceremony with activities of Party and State leaders and international delegations, the exhibition will be open to the public for free from 1:30 p.m. on December 21 to December 22.

Notably, this year the organizers will not limit the age of people to watch like in 2022. When going, people need to bring their ID card so that security can check and no pre-registration is required.

Previously, according to information from the organizing committee, at the opening ceremony there will be a welcome flyover performance by the Vietnam Air Force; about 2,200 officers and soldiers of special forces will perform martial arts; the border guards will use 80 military dogs and 80 trainers to perform.
