The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a document on implementing the program to improve the quality of vocational education in 2024. The Department of Education and Training is piloting two career guidance and vocational training models for high school students, implemented by colleges and vocational training centers.

Specifically, this department is piloting coordination between general education institutions and vocational education institutions in organizing and implementing career guidance content of the 2018 General Education Program.

The Department of Education and Training assigned Thu Duc College of Technology to preside over and coordinate with Tam Phu High School and Thu Duc City Center for Continuing Education and Vocational Training to unify the content and assign teaching tasks with a duration of about 2 periods/week, organized in 2024...

Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that this is the content implemented according to Decision No. 2673/ĐQ-UBND on piloting coordination between a high school, a vocational education center and a college in organizing career guidance content of the 2018 general education program in the form of practical experience of vocational training at vocational training institutions so that students can perceive the reality of production when participating in the labor market.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City also piloted vocational training combined with high school cultural knowledge training according to the German short-term model for high school students at the Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center in District 7 and Tan Binh District.

The Department of Education and Training requested the two above-mentioned vocational education and continuing education centers to select and invest in facilities and teaching techniques, and develop plans to implement vocational training in conjunction with orders and needs of businesses and labor-using units.
