Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu, Head of the Son Tra Peninsula Management Board and Da Nang tourist beaches, said that the reopening of the routes Tien Sa - Suoi Om - Ban Co peak, Ban Co peak - Bai Bac and Bai Bac intersection - the heritage banyan tree was carefully prepared with a system of guide boards, staff on duty at the beginning of the route and control of tourists with blue cards used during the day.

The management board also strengthened the implementation of the plan of the People's Committee of Da Nang City on ensuring safety for tourists, requiring groups to register their itinerary and number of guests, while individual guests are given separate control cards.

The unit also recommends that people and tourists strictly comply with environmental protection regulations, limit plastic waste, prioritize environmentally friendly vehicles such as electric cars, bicycles or walking, do not feed wild animals, do not cut trees, light fires or use flycams in prohibited areas.

Traffic regulations are also tightened: the Tien Sa - Om stream - Ban Co peak route only allows bicycles, motorbikes (except scooters) and walking; the Ban Co peak - Bai Bac route is a one-way route, prohibiting scooters and cars with more than 24 seats; the Bai Bac route - the heritage banyan tree is only for pedestrians. Spontaneous trekking routes down to Huc Lo, Mui Nghe, and Bai Da Den are absolutely prohibited.

From October 2022, the tourist routes at Son Tra were forced to temporarily stop due to landslides after heavy rain and storms. From September 16, 2025, the tourist routes were allowed to operate again, opening from 7:30 to 18:30 during the dry season (March - September) and from 7:30 to 17:00 during the rainy season (October - February of the following year), and will be temporarily stopped immediately when there is a warning of bad weather.

The reopening of Son Tra peninsula not only meets the need to explore pristine nature but also creates momentum to promote sustainable eco-tourism, contributing to restoring the attractiveness of Da Nang tourism after a long period of stagnation.
