Cuu Long University awards full scholarships to 32 Khmer ethnic students

On the morning of October 21, Cuu Long University opened the new school year, course 26 - Full-time university system, school year 2025-2026. In the new school year, the school received 3,036 new students admitted in the first round of course 26. Of which, there are 32 international students from the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

The school board awarded scholarships to new students who achieved second place.

At the ceremony, Meritorious Teacher, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu delivered an opening speech, highlighting the school's achievements in the 2024-2025 school year in the fields of enrollment, training, scientific research, international cooperation and plans to implement key tasks in the 2025-2026 school year.

To recognize the academic achievements of the new students, the Board of Directors of Cuu Long University has awarded and granted scholarships for the opening session of the 26th course - Full-time university program, academic year 2025-2026 with a total cost of nearly 9.8 billion VND.

Awarding full scholarships to new students who are Khmer ethnic people.

In particular, the school organized awards for 6 new students with high scores in the 2025 regular university entrance exam, including: 1 Valedictorian and 5 Salutatorians.

The valedictorian was awarded 10 million VND by the school and Meritorious Teacher, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu was awarded a laptop worth 25 million VND; each runner-up was awarded 8 million VND/student by the school.

The school granted full scholarships to 32 Khmer ethnic students from provinces in the Mekong Delta region.

Awarded 262 scholarships to students from poor, near-poor, orphaned households, children of war invalids, children of families with revolutionary contributions, and new students from ethnic minorities...

At the same time, the school also exempted or reduced tuition fees for 1,617 new students according to regulations, with a total amount of nearly 6.3 billion VND.

Over 25 years of construction and development, Cuu Long University has trained and awarded degrees to nearly 42,000 bachelors, engineers and more than 1,200 masters.

According to statistics, the rate of students having jobs after graduating every year is more than 97%.

Since 2015, the school has cooperated in training human resources for Laos and Cambodia. Up to now, the unit has received and trained more than 700 foreign students.
