On September 12, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – VNU-HCM in collaboration with the Bonghwa District Government (South Korea) organized a program to introduce the "K-Vietnam Valley" project. This is an activity to promote the people-to-people friendship between Vietnam and Korea, towards the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of official diplomatic relations and affirm the depth of Vietnam-Korea cultural exchange.

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor - Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan, Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, emphasized that the "Vietnamese Village" project in Bonghwa district, Korea is not only a cultural and historical work but also a symbol of the nearly 800-year exchange between the two peoples of Vietnam and Korea; spreading special meaning, contributing to arousing national pride and raising awareness of the younger generation about the responsibility to preserve and promote heritage.
"I hope the project will become a typical cultural and educational project, contributing to strengthening friendship, developing tourism and promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries" – Professor, Dr. Phuong Lan emphasized.
Mr. Kwon Tae Han, Acting Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City, affirmed that the Vietnam-Korea relationship has developed remarkably since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992 and especially after being upgraded to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2022. He highly appreciated the cooperation with Vietnamese universities, especially the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HCM) - the leading training institution in the field of social sciences and humanities in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese Village project was implemented in 2018, covering an area of over 118,000 m² with many typical items such as: One Pillar Pagoda, King Ly Thai To statue, museum and Vietnamese cultural center. On August 24, the school went to Korea to attend the inauguration ceremony of King Ly Thai To statue.
