According to Mr. Trinh, on September 9, the People's Committee of Phu My Ward (HCMC) directed the Department of Culture and Society to coordinate with relevant units to work with the Board of Directors of Quang Trung Primary School.
The school leaders explained that these paintings were intended to educate students on morality, but the publishing company had not been thoroughly checked. After being informed by the Department of Culture and Society, the school realized that hanging the paintings was not in accordance with the provisions of the Education Law.

Immediately afterwards, the Board of Directors removed these two paintings and sent a report to the authorities.
"In fact, it has been confirmed that the paintings have now been removed. In the explanatory report, the school admitted that the hanging of the paintings was inappropriate and pledged to learn from experience in choosing content and images in the school environment," said Mr. Trinh.
From this incident, the People's Committee of Phu My Ward has made adjustments, requiring schools in the area to review all paintings and images displayed on campus to ensure educational value, suitability with the psychology of students, and compliance with the provisions of the Law on Education.
Previously, according to the reflection, the paintings showed many sentences that meant to teach morality to students. Each small painting had a note below that "cause" like that, next to it will receive "result" like that. The form of expression caused a lot of controversy, making parents worry that students might misunderstand the content.
Some cause and effect sentences in moral paintings hung in schools are: "Cause: Donate money and effort to build a school - Effect: Study and pass many generations"; "Cause: Do not prevent bad people from doing wrong - Effect: Loss of ability, incompetence"; "Cause: Invite people to use addictive substances - Effect: Insomnia, ignorance, insanity" ...
These paintings were made by a private company in Ho Chi Minh City.
