Community consultation on loan support policy for workers working abroad

The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of M'Drak district has just coordinated with the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank (SPB) of the district to organize propaganda and community consultation on loan support policies for workers going to work abroad under contracts for people in M'Drak town and the communes of Krong Jing, Krong A, and Ea Lai.

At the program, the people were informed by the staff of the M'Drắk District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office about the basic contents of Decree 61/2015/ND-CP, dated July 9, 2015 of the Government and Decree 74/2019/ND-CP, dated September 23, 2019 of the Government regulating the documents for preparing preferential loan applications for workers going to work abroad, such as: subjects supported to borrow capital when going to work abroad; procedures and documents for preferential loans for workers going to work abroad; rights of Vietnamese workers going to work abroad...

Accordingly, Decree 61/2015/ND-CP has a maximum loan amount of 100% of the required amount in the contract that the worker signs with the enterprise licensed to provide labor export services. The loan term is equal to the term of the contract to export labor abroad. The loan interest rate is equal to the loan interest rate for poor households in each period as prescribed by the Government and the Prime Minister (currently, the loan interest rate for poor households is 6.6%/year). The overdue debt interest rate is equal to 130% of the loan interest rate...

It is known that from the beginning of 2022 up to now, the M'Drắk District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office has disbursed nearly 500 million VND to 5 customers borrowing capital to work abroad, creating opportunities to escape poverty and stabilize their lives.
