Ha Tinh youth actively respond to the campaign "Pride of a strip of land and rivers"

Although it has only been launched for a short time (from the end of December 2023), the Campaign "Pride of a strip of mountains and rivers" has been and is being effectively and enthusiastically implemented by all levels of youth unions and associations in the whole Ha Tinh province.

Youth Union branches across the province hung maps of Vietnam in their offices.

The campaign "Proud of a strip of country" was launched by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union from December 2023 to 2025 and maintained in the following years. The main activity implemented is to organize for union members and young people to hang maps of the Fatherland at places of study, work, and living... Through the use of the map of Vietnam, it contributes to raising awareness of national sovereignty and ethnicity.

After nearly 1 month of launching, up to now, all levels of the provincial Youth Union have hung more than 1,000 maps at the headquarters of specialized agencies, public service units, and institutions managed by the Youth Union; traditional rooms, activity rooms of the Youth Union, associations, and teams; and working rooms of Youth Union, association, and team officials from the provincial to grassroots levels.

Ms. Vo Thi Thu Huong - Secretary of the Youth Union of Mai Thuc Loan High School (Loc Ha) said: "In addition to hanging maps, the school's Youth Union has organized for members and students to participate in the thematic activity "Proud of a strip of land and rivers" in the first 15 minutes of class; watch videos and information to better understand the meaning of the movement. At the same time, in Geography classes, the school also organizes the integration of propaganda content about the sovereignty of the country's sea and island borders and the country's territories."

Together with the youth organizations, in the whole province, there are currently more than 200 school teams and youth unions that have implemented many flexible forms to respond to the campaign such as: organizing map giving, hanging maps in classrooms and common living spaces; drawing pictures about the country's territorial sovereignty, implementing map making from recycled materials, assembling the map of Vietnam; holding the thematic activities "Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers"; making propaganda videos about the campaign, taking photos with maps and posting them on social networks... to spread to a large number of youth union members across the country.

Bac Hong Primary School (Hong Linh Town) launched the campaign “Pride of a country”. At the program, students presented maps made from recycled materials.

Le Nhat Vuong - a student of class 5A7, Bac Hong Primary School (Hong Linh town) shared: "Looking at the map of the Fatherland hung in the classroom, we understand more clearly about the geographical location and territories of the country. From there, we feel proud and love Vietnam more."

The Provincial Youth Union has designed and is selling phone cases printed with the map of Vietnam.

In addition to hanging maps, recently, Ha Tinh youth have also deployed propaganda forms about the campaign such as changing avatars, Facebook cover photos, changing computer wallpapers, phone wallpapers and designing and selling phone cases "Proud of a strip of land and rivers".

Mr. Tu Tuan Phuong - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union shared: "The Provincial Youth Union has designed and is selling phone cases printed with the map of Vietnam. The activity is receiving support and response from many union members and young people. This is both a visual, close, and lively form of propaganda, and one of the forms of fundraising to give gifts to children in difficult circumstances in the area."

"Pride of a strip of country" is a very necessary and appropriate movement in the current period to educate patriotism and pride in territorial integrity for Vietnamese people, especially the young generation.

To further spread the movement, contributing to building and protecting national border sovereignty among the youth of the whole province, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee launched the peak week "Ha Tinh Youth is proud of a strip of mountains and rivers" with provincial-level response activities at Son Duong Island - Ky Loi Commune (Ky Anh Town) and response activities of 100% of the provincial Youth Union chapters from January 22 to 30, 2024. This will be a peak activity to strongly arouse love for the Fatherland and a sense of responsibility to protect sacred sovereignty in every member and youth of the whole province.
