Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union gives support of more than 3.5 billion VND to people in Ha Tinh and Nghe An

During 2 days (October 7 and 8), the working delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union visited, encouraged and provided support to people affected by storm No. 10 in Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces.

Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union presented gifts to support households in Ha Tinh province affected by storm No. 10.

Accordingly, the delegation awarded 1,100 gifts to households, each worth 2 million VND; 105 gifts to households with heavy losses, each worth 8 million VND; 100 union officials in difficult circumstances, each worth 2 million VND; and 300 million VND to support households with means of production.

Total resources awarded support worth more than 3.5 billion VND.

Ha Tinh and Nghe An are two provinces that suffered heavy damage caused by storm No. 10, of which Ha Tinh estimated damage at over 6,000 billion VND and Nghe An at over 2,100 billion VND.

Storms and floods have caused thousands of houses in Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces to have their roofs blown off and be seriously damaged; many infrastructures, roads, power lines, schools, and many areas of crops and trees of all kinds have been damaged.

The meaningful gifts that the delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union gave to the people of the two provinces contained the sentiments of the community and youth from Ho Chi Minh City with the desire to add motivation, share and encourage people in the flood-hit areas to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
