Propaganda for new rural construction is a regular, long-term task.

In her opening speech at the workshop, Editor-in-Chief of Vinh Phuc Newspaper Hoang Thi Nhung emphasized that the improvement of rural areas and agriculture across the country, especially in the Northern region after more than 12 years of implementing the new rural development program, is the result of the efforts in leadership, direction and management of Party committees and authorities from the province to the grassroots level; demonstrating the solidarity, unanimity, consensus and determination of the entire political system and people of all walks of life.

In particular, the important role is played by the support of press agencies in general and local Party press agencies in particular. On the journey of building the new rural areas, Party press agencies across the country and the Northern region have played a good role in bringing the Party's guidelines, the State's policies, and local policies on the new rural construction program into life.

According to Ms. Hoang Thi Nhung, in order for the program to truly enter life in a profound way, press agencies, especially Party press agencies, have promptly reflected, providing people across the country with a vivid, panoramic view in many fields, in many localities with profound, meaningful articles and positive, widespread influence.

Accompanying the task of building the new countryside, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper Luong Chi Cong said that in order to have "correct, accurate, and good" articles, not only reflecting in general and one-sided ways but also being critical in the topic of building new countryside and developing agriculture and rural areas, the Party Committee and the Editorial Board constantly focus on improving the political capacity as well as the capacity and professional ethics of the team of reporters, meeting the requirements of innovation in the press. For the specialized Propaganda Department, it regularly directs reporters to closely follow the assigned sectors, fields, and areas to promptly detect problems.

Sharing his experience in promoting this field, Mr. Luong Chi Cong said that reporters must actively discover new, interesting, and timely topics in the fields of agriculture , farmers, and rural areas for promotion. In particular, the content of the articles needs to be more suggestive, with good solutions to help the agricultural sector develop, improve the material and spiritual life of people in rural areas, especially in remote, mountainous areas.

In addition, regularly organize seminars to have more information and multi-dimensional information, serving well and effectively the direction and management process of the city as well as the Department of Agriculture - Rural Development.

Speaking at the workshop, comrade Tran Thanh Lam - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department highly appreciated the role of local Party newspapers in propagating the construction of new rural areas. He also pointed out the limitations in propaganda work in this field.

To effectively carry out propaganda work on new rural construction in the coming time, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department emphasized that local Party newspapers must identify propaganda on new rural construction as a regular, long-term task and a political task of the newspaper, and a social responsibility of reporters towards agriculture, rural areas and farmers.

At the same time, I hope that the Party's press agencies will become increasingly strong, with high quality information and propaganda, continue to strongly arouse national pride, aspirations to rise up, the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant, and strive to build an increasingly prosperous and happy country; encourage the entire Party, people and army to overcome all difficulties and challenges, continue to firmly step on the path of comprehensive and synchronous innovation, rapid and sustainable development of the country, and successfully achieve the goal of our country becoming a developed country with a socialist orientation by the middle of the 21st century.

At the conference, Vinh Phuc Newspaper awarded the rotating flag to organize the 29th Conference of Party Newspapers of Northern provinces and cities to Bac Giang Newspaper.
