The Provincial People's Committee summarizes 5 years of implementing Decree 21 of the Government on Defense Zones.

This morning (July 17), the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Decree No. 21 of the Government on Defense Zones, period 2019-2024.

Overview of the conference.

Attending and directing the Conference were comrades: Major General Le Hong Nhan - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 4; Le Hong Vinh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Defense Zone Steering Committee.

Colonel Dinh Bat Van, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Nghe An Provincial Military Command, spoke at the conference.

After 5 years of implementing Decree No. 21 of the Government, Nghe An province has achieved important results in building a solid defense zone, maintaining political stability, and socio-economic development; successfully organized 2 provincial-level defense zone and civil defense drills; 23 district-level defense zone drills; many drills on flood and storm prevention, search and rescue, forest fire fighting, etc.

Awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, localities, cadres, party members and people regarding national defense and security tasks, construction and operation of defense zones have been raised, creating national solidarity in building and protecting the Fatherland; The overall quality, level and fighting strength of the armed forces have been raised... Thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the two strategic tasks of building and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Le Hong Nhan - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 4 requested the Steering Committee of the Defense Zone of Nghe An province to continue to effectively implement Decree No. 21 of the Government with specific tasks, close to the actual situation of the locality; Propagating and raising awareness for cadres, party members and people about the two strategic tasks in the new situation; Consolidating and perfecting the effectiveness of the operations of organizations in the Defense Zone;
