The Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the World Bank delegation.

On May 24, Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting and worked with the World Bank delegation, on the occasion of the delegation's working trip to support the implementation of the Sustainable Environment Project for Coastal Cities - Phan Rang-Thap Cham City Sub-project.

At the working session, the delegation's representative reported the results of the inspection and survey at the project, and acknowledged the efforts and determination of the province and the People's Committee of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City in directing and coordinating the implementation of the project. The delegation recommended that the province continue to direct relevant units to actively coordinate closely; supervise and urge the construction to make up the progress to complete the overall project as required, and complete the entire project on time. In addition, it is necessary to continue to speed up the process of estimating, bidding to select the official contractor to operate the project after investment; complete the remaining items and payment, as well as ensure the procedures for granting operating licenses. For the Wastewater Treatment Plant package that was completed in April, it is necessary to complete the operating license procedures soon. As well as prepare acceptance procedures, complete the handover of asset management from the project. At the meeting, local departments and units proposed a number of solutions to speed up the remaining tasks and procedures to complete the project on time.

Concluding the working session, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the opinions of the working group; at the same time, highly appreciated the efforts of the units and localities in implementing the project. With the determination to bring the project to the finish line on time, in the coming time, the province will continuously monitor and urge the progress, and direct the completion of legal documents according to requirements. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also highly appreciated the significance and importance of the project in contributing to creating changes, expecting to bring about landscape, environment, attract tourism and improve the quality of life of people in the project area. Thereby, he thanked the working group and the World Bank for supporting the province to successfully implement this key project. He hopes that in the coming time, he will continue to receive cooperation and funding from the World Bank in investing in implementing other projects in the province.
