UK Academy Binh Thanh affirms its class in international arenas

When students tackle global issues

Recently, UKA Binh Thanh students made a splash when they joined the Vietnamese team in the Harvard Crimson Business Competition 2025 Finals – a prestigious international business competition organized by Harvard University. After many rigorous qualifying rounds, their innovative business ideas, strategic thinking and teamwork skills helped the Ukers convince the judges, becoming a rare representative of Vietnam to participate in this intellectual arena.

According to Soon Cheng, for the first time, Vietnam has two teams entering the HCBC 2025 Finals, selected through the "Asia Business Simulation" (ABS) exam. These representatives went straight from ASEAN to the Harvard stage, making their mark in a competitive environment with 39 teams from all five continents.

Shortly thereafter, at the Genius Olympiad 2025, UKer Tran Vo Gia Bao won the Gold Medal in the Speech category, with a sharp rebuttal of the carbon credit market. A mechanism that is supposed to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but seems to cover up pollution and cause damage to vulnerable communities in the Southern Hemisphere.

Also at the Genius Olympiad, Uker Tran Thi Thanh Truc, class 11.1, excellently received the Bronze Medal in the Short Film - Animation category with the project "WHAT IF?" The entry is a 100% hand-drawn animation focusing on the issue of biodiversity loss due to unsustainable human development activities, especially overexploitation and climate change. Through the story between humans and the Earth, the project aims to raise public awareness and call for action to conserve nature based on practical research and surveys.

Not stopping there, in early August, the UKA Binh Thanh team left a strong impression at the Global Final (WYEF) of the ASEEDER Business Simulation (ABS) 2025 competition held in Shanghai.

The UKA Secondary School team surpassed thousands of contestants to bring home three prestigious awards: "Best Tech Booth Experience Award" - demonstrating outstanding creativity in creating the best technology booth experience of the entire competition, attracting and leaving a deep impression on visitors, "Outstanding Tech-enabled Pitch Award" - recognizing an inspirational presentation where technology and presentation skills are combined in a sophisticated, creative and maximum effective way. And a special award "Rising Star" - the title of a promising star.
