In Da Nang City, the Community Disaster Prevention Fund recently held a ceremony to celebrate its 15th anniversary and received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for the Fund's contributions to raising awareness and capacity for disaster prevention in localities across the country.

In 2008, the Central Region Disaster Prevention Support Fund was authorized by the Ministry of Home Affairs to be established and operate within the Central Region provinces. In 2018, the Fund was renamed the Community Disaster Prevention Fund according to the Decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs and expanded its scope of operations nationwide.

In particular, the Fund also implemented the Project of Supporting Revolving Capital for Poor Women, providing capital to 1,114 women's households in 19 provinces and cities. The capital is preserved by the Women's Union at all levels, developing revolving capital effectively.

In 2018, the Fund's Join Hands to Help Children Learn to Swim Safely program also mobilized more than 90 billion VND to sponsor the construction of 142 safe swimming pools in schools.

With the goal of "No student has to drop out of school due to natural disasters", over the past 15 years, the Green Future Program and the Teaching Equipment Support Project have awarded scholarships worth more than 27 billion VND to more than 1,000 students in difficulty, equipped nearly 250 schools nationwide, helping these facilities quickly restore teaching activities after natural disasters, helping children go to school safely...
