Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam comes closer to the public of the Central region through an exhibition in Da Nang

VHO - The exhibition "Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam: Cultural space from thousand-year-old knowledge" will open at Da Nang Museum on August 28, introducing nearly 100 images, artifacts and precious documents, contributing to bringing the cultural heritage of Thang Long closer to the public in the Central region.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam in collaboration with Da Nang Museum organized a special exhibition entitled "The Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam: Cultural space from thousand-year-old knowledge" .

The exhibition aims to bring the image of the special national relic Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam closer to the public in the Central region, while honoring the tradition of studiousness and lifelong learning spirit of the Vietnamese people.

Inspired by the intersection between the symbol of Khue Van Cac - the cultural star of Thang Long and the dynamic symbols of Da Nang city such as Dragon Bridge and Han River Bridge, the exhibition carries the message of connecting the past and the present, between eternal values ​​and the spirit of creativity and integration today.

With nearly 100 selected photos, paintings, artifacts and documents, the exhibition comprehensively introduces the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, the first university of Vietnam.

The exhibition introduces important milestones of the relic, the system of 82 Doctoral steles - a world documentary heritage recognized by UNESCO.

The exhibition includes 3 parts: Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy in the flow of history: Introducing important milestones and the system of 82 Doctoral steles - World documentary heritage recognized by UNESCO;

Typical architectural space and landscape: Displaying images and documents about Khue Van Cac, Thien Quang Well, Van Mieu gate, Thai Hoc area... reflecting traditional Vietnamese architectural art and Confucianism;

Promoting heritage values ​​in the new era: Introducing diplomatic activities, heritage education, experiential night tours, cultural and scientific events, international seminars and creative cultural products associated with the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam.

In addition to the exhibition space, the opening ceremony at 3:30 p.m. on August 28 also has many experiential activities, such as: the game "Discovering Mascots" on iPad, printing mascot paintings, binding books with traditional Do paper, printing ancient Chinese woodblocks and Doctorate stele patterns.

The exhibition is a bridge connecting Thang Long heritage with the vibrant cultural life of the city on the Han River, affirming the connection between the value of eternal talents and the desire for creativity in the new era.

Sharing about the significance of the exhibition, the leader of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam said: "This exhibition is not only an opportunity for the public of the Central region, especially Da Nang city, to learn about a precious heritage of the nation, but also a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, contributing to affirming the tradition of studiousness and respect for talented people - a sustainable foundation for the development of the country today."

The exhibition takes place from August 28 to September 14, 2025 at Da Nang Museum (31 Tran Phu, Da Nang City) . This is a bridge connecting Thang Long heritage with the vibrant cultural life of the city on the Han River, contributing to spreading the value of thousand-year-old talents and creative aspirations in the new era.
