Beltway 2.5 remains "inactive"

Beltway 2.5 (Dam Hong - National Highway 1 section) is a project approved by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2002, with the decision to clear the land since 2010. The project is invested in the form of BT contract. This beltway section is about 2km long, designed to be 40m wide, with a 7.5m wide sidewalk. The total investment is about 1,300 billion VND. The BT project implementation period is from 2013 to 2016. However, up to now, the project has only achieved 87% of its output due to land clearance problems. After many years of blocking the road, the remaining households have now handed over the land to serve the construction of the project.
