Vietnam is the key Southeast Asian market for Korean tourism.

The Korea Travel Festa 2024 will take place from May 25-26 at the K-Town subdivision, Grand World commercial area, Ocean City (Hung Yen). At the festival, tourism units from Korea including destinations, local Tourism Departments, businesses... will introduce many new and diverse destinations of Korea to visitors along with many interesting games and gifts.

Units such as the Korea Creative Content Agency KOCCA, the Korean Cultural Center KCC and the Korea Copyright Protection Agency KCOPA also conducted many special activities such as trying on Hanbok, playing the traditional Tuho game, coloring pictures...

Tourists visiting the Korean Tour Corner booths of Vietnamese travel companies and airlines will receive many attractive incentives and discounts on Korean tours with many themes such as K-drama Tracking Tour, Cycling Tour, Cruise Tour, Carnival Tour...

The highlight of the festival's artistic activities is the participation of many top K-pop and V-pop stars, such as the 4-member band Highlight, the dance group 1 Million; singers Min, Isaac and Tran Ngoc Anh... Within the same framework of the program, the final stage of the K-pop Cover Dance Contest is a competition between talented dance and singing groups from all over Vietnam.

Deputy Director General of the Korea Tourism Organization Lee Hak Ju said that Vietnam is the country with the 5th largest number of tourists visiting Korea globally and the first in Southeast Asia. In 2023 alone, 420,000 Vietnamese tourists chose Korea as their destination. In the opposite direction, 3.6 million Koreans chose Vietnam as their destination.

In the first four months of 2024 alone, Vietnam welcomed 1.6 million Korean visitors, an increase of nearly 50% over the same period in 2023, accounting for nearly 26% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam. In the opposite direction, Korea welcomed more than 167,000 Vietnamese visitors, an increase of 33% over the same period in 2023. It is expected that Korea will welcome 550,000 Vietnamese visitors in 2024, equal to the level of 2019.

The Korea Travel Festa 2024 event continues to affirm the strong presence of Korean tourism in Vietnam. With its attractive culture, landscapes, professional services, and many unique products, many Vietnamese people will love Korea and travel to Korea.
