VPBank appoints additional foreign Deputy General Director

Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank ( VPBank - HoSE: VPB) has just announced a change in personnel.

Accordingly, the bank's Board of Directors has approved the decision to appoint Mr. Kamijo Hiroki as Deputy General Director. The decision takes effect from July 27, 2024. Specific information about Mr. Kamijo Hiroki has not been announced.

According to information on VPBank's website, the bank's Board of Directors currently has 17 members with General Director Nguyen Duc Vinh and 7 Deputy General Directors.

Of which, the 3 permanent Deputy General Directors are Ms. Luu Thi Thao, Mr. Phung Duy Khuong and Ms. Pham Thi Nhung. After appointing Mr. Kamijo Hiroki, the Executive Board will have a total of 18 members.

Among the 17 members, there are currently 3 foreign members including Director of Information Technology Mr. Wong Kok Seng Augustine, Director of Data Management & Analysis Mr. Johnson Wei Li Poh, and Mr. Mochizuki Masashi, Director of the Foreign Investment Development Center.

Previously, at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM), VPBank selected new members of the Board of Directors (BOD), Mr. Takeshi Kimoto and Ms. Pham Thi Nhung.

Mr. Takeshi Kimoto, born in 1970, is a representative of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation - SMBC. Ms. Pham Thi Nhung, born in 1980, is a bachelor of International Relations at Dong Do Private University, Hanoi .

Ms. Nhung started working at VPBank in 2016. From 20/20/2023 to present, she has held the position of Permanent Deputy General Director and Director of Partner Management and External Relations.

On the stock market, in the morning trading session on July 15, VPB shares were being traded at 19,000 VND/share with a trading volume of nearly 4.3 million units.
