World Cup billiards: 3 Vietnamese players played well, winning all opening matches

Today (July 1), 3 Vietnamese billiard players played excellently and won all their opening matches, in the 3rd qualifying round of the Porto 2025 Billiards World Cup, taking place in Portugal.

In the third qualifying round of the 2025 Porto Billiards World Cup, Thon Viet Hoang Minh is in Group J with Mikael Devogelaere (France) and Huub Wilkowski (Netherlands). Nguyen Chi Long is in Group K with De Kruijf (Netherlands) and Atsushi Kiyota (Japan). Dao Van Ly is in Group M with Marcos Morales (Spain) and De Bruijn (Netherlands).

Vietnamese 3-cushion billiards player rises to the top of the table

All three Vietnamese players took to the field tonight (July 1, Vietnam time). In turn, Hoang Minh met Devogelaere, Chi Long faced De Kruijf, and Van Ly faced Morales. The Vietnamese players played well and won all their opening matches, temporarily rising to the top of the table.

Accordingly, Hoang Minh won Devogelaere 25-29, after 26 rounds. Chi Long defeated De Kruijf with a score of 35-18, after 28 rounds. Dao Van Ly won 35-16 against Morales, after 24 rounds. The big series has not appeared yet. Among the 3 Vietnamese players mentioned above, Chi Long had the highest score of 6 points.

Dao Van Ly is a quality player of Vietnam's 3-cushion carom, scheduled to play from the 3rd qualifying round of the Porto 2025 Billiards World Cup.

Winning the first round gives Vietnamese players a chance to advance to the final qualifying round of the 2024 World Cup Porot.
