In the semi-final match of the 3-cushion carom tournament co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation (HBSF) on September 24, Tran Quyet Chien won against the 2025 national champion Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu with a large score difference. Notably, Vietnam's No. 1 player continued to amaze the audience with a series of big scores.

When the match was tied at 11-9, Tran Quyet Chien suddenly launched a series of 17 points to take the lead 28-9. This 17-point streak of Quyet Chien also brought the match into halftime, at the same time untied the knot of this tense match.

In the end, Tran Quyet Chien won with a score of 40-19, after 18 rounds.

Quyet Chien tried to turn the situation around but had to lose 37-40 after 23 shots. Phuong Vinh ended the match with an extremely classy rolling shot on the short ice.
