Pong Drang Commune: Handling business and trading locations that do not comply with planning

On the morning of October 21, the People's Committee of Pong Drang commune coordinated with relevant departments, offices and units to take action to handle business locations that encroached on the sidewalk and did not comply with planning in the commune, especially the old Pong Drang market area in village 5, where a flower garden is planned to be built.

During the implementation process, the authorities have propagated and mobilized people to strictly comply with the State's regulations on urban order, not to encroach on the roadway and sidewalk for business and trading, causing loss of urban beauty and environmental pollution. At the same time, they have removed temporary canopies and corrugated iron roofs of businesses and traders that violate traffic safety corridors and encroach on sidewalks and roadsides in the old Pong Drang market area. The items seized during the clearance process were brought to the commune People's Committee headquarters to be handled according to the provisions of law.

Faced with the determination of the authorities, many small traders and business households have proactively removed illegal roofs and stalls, and coordinated with local authorities in the clearance work.

The People's Committee of Pong Drang Commune launched a campaign to handle spontaneous and unplanned trading locations to ensure order on National Highway 14, Provincial Road 8 and village roads; contribute to reducing accidents, traffic jams, ensuring fire prevention, fire fighting and food hygiene and safety in the area.

According to the plan, the inspection and handling of business, trading and market venues that do not comply with regulations will be conducted by the People's Committee of Pong Drang commune from October 21 to 31, 2025.
