The teams with tickets to the next round include Germany, Switzerland (Group A), Spain, Italy (Group B), England, Denmark, Slovenia (Group C), Austria, France, Netherlands (Group D), Romania, Belgium, Slovakia (Group E), Portugal, Georgia (Group F).

The teams that had to return home included Hungary, Scotland, Croatia, Albania, Serbia, Poland, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic.

The 16 teams that advance include the 12 teams in the top 2 positions of 6 groups and 4 teams that receive tickets through 3rd place with good results.

At the end of the group stage, EURO 2024 has determined the 8 matches in the round of 16. As in previous tournaments, after the end of the group stage, the first match of the round of 16 will be played the following day. That is, there is no break between the 2 stages.

But at EURO 2024, there will be a break of about 2 days at the end of the group stage. That ensures the players have time to recover.

EURO 2024 returns on June 29 with Switzerland vs Italy in the first round of 16 match. The matches will continue until July 3 and there will be a two-day break before the quarter-finals.
