Gasoline prices increased across the board, the highest being over 24,000 VND/liter.

This afternoon, February 1, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance announced information on gasoline price management, effective from 3:00 p.m.

From 3:00 p.m. on February 1, gasoline prices increased from 742 - 753 VND/liter.

Accordingly, the selling prices of all petroleum products have been adjusted to increase. Specifically, compared to the current base price, the price of E5RON92 gasoline is no higher than VND22,913/liter (up VND742/liter), lower than RON95-III gasoline by VND1,247/liter. The price of RON95-III gasoline is no higher than VND24,160/liter (up VND753/liter).

Diesel 0.05S is not higher than VND 20,999/liter (up VND 623/liter); kerosene is not higher than VND 20,923/liter (up VND 379/liter); mazut 180CST 3.5S is not higher than VND 16,087/kg (up VND 593/kg).

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world oil market in this management period (from January 25 to January 31) is affected by factors such as the tense situation in the Middle East, increased crude oil reserves in the US, the real estate crisis in China (the world's leading oil consuming country) raising concerns about oil demand...

The above factors have caused world oil prices to fluctuate up and down in recent days. The average price of finished oil products in the world between the price adjustment period on January 25 and the adjustment period on February 1 is: 97.620 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (up 4.668 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 5.02% compared to the previous period); RON95 gasoline is priced at 102.594 USD/barrel (up 4.144 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 4.21% compared to the previous period).

Kerosene price is 103.640 USD/barrel (up 2.432 USD/barrel, equivalent to 2.40% increase compared to the previous period). Diesel price is 105.518 USD/barrel (up 3.870 USD/barrel, equivalent to 3.81% increase compared to the previous period); fuel oil price is 454.528 USD/ton 180CST 3.5S (up 22.506 USD/ton, equivalent to 5.21% increase compared to the previous period).

In this operating period, in light of the above-mentioned developments in world oil prices and current regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided to set aside the Oil Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) for fuel oil at VND300/kg; not to set aside the BOG Fund for diesel and kerosene; and not to use the BOG Fund for all oil products.
