In today’s society, families face many difficulties and challenges. Pragmatic, selfish lifestyles that emphasize individual freedom have a strong impact on traditional values and good lifestyles of many families.
Many family moral values are being eroded and showing signs of degradation, domestic violence is becoming more complicated, the generation gap is growing, relationships between family members are becoming increasingly loose, and social evils are at risk of invading the family.
To make the family a peaceful and happy haven for each person, a place to maintain the traditional cultural identity of the nation, all levels, sectors and localities have implemented many solutions to build families according to the criteria of prosperity, equality, progress and happiness.
Up to now, 100% of the Family Work Steering Committees of districts, cities, communes, wards and towns in the province have been strengthened, maintained and promoted effective operations.
The work of propagating and disseminating laws on marriage and family, educating on ethics, family lifestyle, skills in identifying, intervening, consulting, and reconciling domestic violence cases is carried out in many forms such as visual propaganda using billboards, posters, and leaflets; displaying pictures and photos on building happy families, preventing and combating domestic violence; propaganda on mass media, etc.
Through propaganda activities, it helps to raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, organizations, individuals and families about the role and importance of the family, the work of preventing and combating domestic violence in the new situation, thereby taking practical actions in preventing and combating domestic violence, preventing social evils from entering the family.
In order to spread the message "Building a happy family, a prosperous nation", every year, departments, branches, localities and units in the province have organized many activities in response to the International Day of Happiness (March 20), Vietnamese Family Day (June 28) and the National Action Month to Prevent and Combat Domestic Violence, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls (November 25) and the Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender Violence.
In 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a conference on the topic "Building a happy family, a prosperous country"; launched "Warm and loving family meals"; coordinated with the Provincial Women's Union to organize a talk show on "Building a happy family" and commend advanced models, award prizes for the photo contest "Lovely family moments"; organized a festival of Sustainable Family Development Clubs and typical Domestic Violence Prevention and Control Groups; organized a conference on identifying, detecting, and speaking out when experiencing domestic violence.
The Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference on the topic "Building a happy family in the 4.0 era" with the participation of 400 union officials at all levels.
The Provincial Police organized a writing contest “For a peaceful home”. The Provincial Veterans Association launched a movement to build “Cultural Veterans Families”.
The Provincial Women's Union launched the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", a family of "5 yes's, 3 clean's" associated with preserving good values and developing the Vietnamese family value system.
Currently, the whole province maintains 350 Sustainable Family Development Clubs and Domestic Violence Prevention and Control Groups, 876 trusted addresses, and 450 hotlines to intervene and support victims of domestic violence.
Intervention models for preventing and combating domestic violence have practical effects, helping people raise awareness of the role and position of the family, effectively implement the Law on Prevention and Combating Domestic Violence, the Law on Gender Equality, knowledge and skills of family behavior, and promptly reconcile domestic violence cases at the grassroots level.
With the synchronous implementation of many solutions to build happy families, the quality of life of each family is increasingly improved both materially and spiritually, contributing significantly to political stability and social order and safety. In 2024, 95% of families in the province will achieve the title of "Cultural Family".
To continue building happy families, which are healthy cells of society, the province needs to continue promoting and diversifying propaganda activities and educating about family ethics and lifestyle.
Strengthen inter-sectoral coordination in performing family work tasks and preventing and combating domestic violence; pay attention to training and coaching to improve professional skills in preventing and combating domestic violence for family workers at all levels; maintain, replicate and improve the quality and effectiveness of models of preventing and combating domestic violence.
Organize activities to honor outstanding families, competitions, performances, talks... to promote the responsibility of leaders at all levels, sectors, unions, social organizations and families in caring for building prosperous, equal, progressive and happy families.
