Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025: Honoring 113 outstanding businesses and units in the tourism sector

(Chinhphu.vn) - 113 typical businesses and units in the tourism sector in 11 award categories with 18 titles were honored at the National Tourism Awards, comprehensively reflecting the diverse development of Vietnam's tourism industry, from travel, accommodation, transportation, restaurants, spas to training, communication and product creation.

This morning (September 27), in Hanoi, under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Administration in coordination with the Culture Newspaper organized the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 Ceremony. The Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 is the most prestigious and prestigious award of the Vietnam Tourism industry. The event not only honors outstanding businesses, organizations, training facilities and media agencies, but is also a vivid demonstration of the strong breakthrough of Vietnam tourism, an economic sector that has risen to lead the region in terms of recovery speed after the pandemic and achieved the highest growth rate in the world.

The Award Ceremony was attended by comrades: Mai Van Chinh - Deputy Prime Minister; Ta Van Ha - Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education ; Trinh Thi Thuy - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ho An Phong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and representatives of leaders of ministries, branches; leaders of local Tourism Management Departments; tourism businesses; typical tourism training establishments; foreign tourism representative agencies in Vietnam and 113 typical businesses and units honored in this event.

After unprecedented difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam's tourism industry has affirmed its strong vitality, rising to become one of the bright spots of fastest recovery in Southeast Asia. Vietnam is assessed by the ASEAN Secretariat as the country with the highest tourism recovery rate in the region, reaching 98% compared to before the pandemic. Notably, according to the latest report of the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), in the first 6 months of 2025, Vietnam's tourism growth rate reached 21%, among the highest in the world.

In the first 8 months of 2025, the tourism industry welcomed nearly 14 million international visitors (up 21.7% over the same period in 2024), served 106 million domestic visitors, and total tourism revenue is estimated at 707 trillion VND. Vietnam has also continuously improved its position in the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Global Tourism Competitiveness Report.

These achievements come from the strong leadership of the Government, the coordination of ministries, branches, localities, the support of the business community and press and media agencies. In particular, the tourism industry has proactively promoted natural and cultural resources to form key products; innovate and create products; improve service quality; diversify experiences; build destination brands and increase the application of technology in management, promotion and advertising.

Affirming position as the leading prestige measure of the tourism industry

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Award Ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong emphasized that the Vietnam Tourism Award is held every five years with the aim of promoting the emulation movement in the tourism industry to ensure service quality, diversify products, improve the professionalism of tourism businesses, contributing to gradually building the Vietnamese tourism brand, promoting tourism development into a spearhead economic sector of the country.

Deputy Minister Ho An Phong said that Vietnam has many favorable conditions for tourism development, from rich natural landscapes, a system of unique landscapes to heroic historical traditions combined with unique and diverse cultural quintessence; friendly and hospitable people. The Party and State have always paid attention to directing the tourism industry to best promote human potential, developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector. Along with political determination, many localities and tourism businesses have made efforts to create a driving force for continuous growth for the Vietnamese tourism industry, surpassing expectations in both quantity and quality.

According to Deputy Minister Ho An Phong, in order to complete the Government's goals in 2025, striving to welcome 25 million international tourists, serving 150 million domestic tourists, making Vietnam a safe, friendly and attractive destination in the region and the world, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development plan in 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been proactively coordinating closely with ministries, branches, localities and the business community to soon form a smart tourism ecosystem, associated with comprehensive digital transformation; strengthen connections, support, take the experience of tourists as the center, launch the emulation movement "Professional service, attentive service, civilized behavior, green-clean-beautiful environment" to bring smiles to Vietnamese tourism; Develop diverse and unique tourism products and services based on potentials associated with promoting heritage values ​​and national cultural identity in line with new trends of high-end resort tourism, health care tourism, agricultural tourism and regional specific products, culinary tourism, etc.

In addition, perfecting the transport infrastructure connecting destinations, focusing on promoting tourism with focused and key campaigns; making the most of the power of the media; mobilizing the cooperation of Vietnamese diplomatic representative agencies abroad; communicating via social networks; promoting bilateral tourism cooperation, cooperation through international organizations in the field of tourism.

According to the Organizing Committee, in 2025, the Award will enter its 20th season. Through this year's Award, the Tourism industry will continuously promote the emulation movement to innovate, improve service quality, diversify products, increase the professionalism of businesses and related units, and gradually build local tourism brands, national brands, business brands and products. This is an important foundation for Vietnam Tourism to develop strongly, becoming a key economic sector of the country.
