Consider the policy of requesting land lease for water supply projects

STO - On June 25, at the People's Committee of Soc Trang province, comrade Vuong Quoc Nam - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to relevant units report on the request for land lease policy to implement water supply projects in Ke Sach town, Ke Sach district of Soc Trang Water Supply Joint Stock Company. According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang province, Ke Sach Water Supply Enterprise under Soc Trang Water Supply Joint Stock Company is managing and operating the water supply station in the campus of Ke Sach District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center and Ke Sach Town Water Supply Station. The enterprise exploits, processes and supplies water to about 6,000 households in Ke Sach Town, the enterprise is licensed to exploit 2,520m ³ /day and night. Currently, the exploitation flow is decreasing, the exploitation capacity is about 62% of the licensed capacity. Therefore, to ensure the water supply for people, the company plans to arrange an additional well to exploit underground water and hire a consulting unit to prepare a project to request the exploitation of water surface located about 300m from the existing water supply station. To speed up the project implementation progress, the company proposed that the Provincial People's Committee approve the lease of land adjacent to the Ke Sach town water supply station, with an area of ​​445.1 ^{square meters} , the land origin is public land managed by the State.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Vuong Quoc Nam requested relevant units to review and consider the location proposed by Soc Trang Water Supply Joint Stock Company to lease to implement the project in accordance with legal regulations. Ke Sach District People's Committee reviewed the planning in the area, the plan to rearrange and handle public houses and land in the district that had been approved. Soc Trang Water Supply Joint Stock Company coordinated with Ke Sach District People's Committee and relevant departments and branches to determine the need to lease land to implement the project and to be guided on procedures according to regulations.
