On May 22, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province announced that it has a plan to strengthen the work of ensuring order and road traffic safety in the new situation in the province.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province directed the authorities to focus on detecting and strictly handling violations that are the main causes of serious traffic accidents, such as driving vehicles at a speed exceeding the permitted speed limit, violating alcohol and drug concentrations, "extending" the sides and trunk of vehicles, carrying oversized and overloaded goods, etc.

Each agency, unit, and locality in the province must have a specific plan to control alcohol concentration for each route and each area, focusing on cities, towns, industrial parks with a large number of workers, tourist areas, etc.
Based on the practical situation, annually organize a general inspection of all types of vehicles in the management area, strictly handle violations and resolutely require the suspension of operations of vehicles that have expired their usage period or registration.

In addition, the process of handling traffic law violations must absolutely respect the law, "no forbidden zones, no exceptions", all violations of traffic safety order must be strictly handled according to the provisions of the law.
According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department of Binh Dinh province, in the first 5 months of 2023 (from December 15, 2022 to May 9, 2023), the authorities organized 8,749 road traffic patrols, with more than 38,000 officers. The authorities stopped 33,763 vehicles for inspection, and more than 23,700 vehicles were fined. The total fine was more than 37 billion VND.
Of these, only 207 cases of overloading were recorded. Specifically, in about 5 months, the traffic police discovered 193 cases of trucks and 14 cases of container trucks violating the law due to overloading. Thus, on average, in Binh Dinh province, the authorities discovered less than 2 cases of overloading violations per day.
