Immediately handle sharp rocks at Binh Son - Ninh Chu beach

The authorities have directed immediate handling of the area with dozens of exposed rocks causing unsafe conditions at Binh Son - Ninh Chu beach (in Dong Hai ward, Khanh Hoa province).

On July 18, the leaders of Dong Hai Ward People's Committee organized an inspection and directed the immediate handling of the situation of densely appearing split rocks, posing a potential safety risk to tourists and residents in the Binh Son - Ninh Chu beach area.

At the time of inspection, the Dong Hai ward working group noted that there were a series of construction rocks scattered right in the beach area. Some rocks were knocked up by the waves to the sand surface, creating "rock traps" with sharp edges, posing a danger to tourists and local residents.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy - Secretary of the Dong Hai Ward Party Committee - said that the locality has directed relevant units to review the renovation and refurbishment process, and immediately handle areas with exposed rocks that cause unsafe conditions.

According to Mr. Huy, the locality has immediately directed the construction unit to continue burying the rock layer deeper and at the same time covering it with a thicker layer of sand to ensure safety.

According to Mr. Huy, the Binh Son beach area was once landscaped for tourism , including the use of rocks to protect the coastal road. However, over time and the impact of the tide, some items were moved, exposing rocks to the area where people often play and swim.

"In the long term, the locality will invite a design consultant to redesign the entire area, and at the same time propose that the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee allocate funding to completely handle the above situation," said Mr. Huy.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , many tourists and local residents have previously reported the appearance of large and small split rocks at the famous beach area in Binh Son - Ninh Chu, causing concern among locals and tourists, and there have been cases of injuries while swimming here.
