Through the incident, the leaders of Hanoi City also requested units and localities to increase regular and surprise inspections of selected units providing ingredients and meals for boarding students in the management area; and monitor and evaluate the organization of meals.
In case of detecting violations, units need to immediately stop providing meals and processed food ingredients from suppliers; at the same time, promptly select units that meet the replacement conditions; consider and handle the responsibility of school principals in the management area if violations occur.
The Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the Chairmen of the People's Committees of wards and communes shall take full responsibility for any violations of food safety in school kitchens under their management.

Currently, in Hanoi, there are nearly 2,200 public schools that organize meals for boarding students. Three forms applied by schools include self-cooking (mainly in kindergartens), cooperating with units to organize cooking; and providing ready-made meals.
In response to the above incident, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requested the city's schools to strengthen the management of collective kitchens and school meals. In particular, it is noted that units must ensure that 100% of food has legal contracts, invoices, and documents; clearly state the origin; only import food from establishments with food safety certificates or production and business establishments that have declared their products according to regulations; absolutely do not use food of unknown origin, expired, or spoiled.
On the same day, a representative of the People's Committee of Son Dong commune said that immediately after receiving information related to Lien Anh Production, Trade and Service Company Limited providing unsafe vegetables that were "magically" transformed into clean vegetables to supply to schools, the local government coordinated with relevant agencies to inspect the activities of this enterprise.
However, at the time of inspection, the inspection team did not record any production activities, as the company usually operates at night and the commune inspection team does not have the function of working at night. The company presented all documents and licenses issued by the competent authority and has not recorded any specific violations to conclude.
