A woman was fined for driving with the car door open.

On May 13, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that Quang Xuong Traffic Police Station (a patrol and control unit on National Highway 1A, under the Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police) had just drawn up a record of traffic safety law violations against Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (34 years old, residing in Ha Yen commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa).

Ms. Hoa is the person who drove the car on the road without closing the car door.

Cars are not allowed to close their doors while driving on the road.

Before that, at around 11:30 a.m. on May 12, Ms. Hoa was driving a car with license plate 36A - 905.88 on National Highway 1A, from Ha Trung District to Bim Son Town. The car was traveling on the road with the rear passenger door still open. Ms. Hoa explained to the authorities that because she was carrying a large panel and left it in the back seat of the car, she could not close the car door.

The incident of Ms. Hoa leaving the car door open while driving on National Highway 1A was filmed by a local resident and posted on social media, attracting the attention and many comments from netizens. Many people believe that the driver disregarded the safety of others and himself when driving on the road with the car door open.

After discovering the clip posted on social media, the Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province found and made a record of the act of "not closing the door while the vehicle was running, carrying goods exceeding the outer dimensions of the vehicle" against Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, with a fine of 1.4 million VND and a 2-month suspension of her driver's license.

Quang Xuong Traffic Police Station also made a record of the act of "allowing employees and representatives to drive vehicles without closing the vehicle doors and carrying goods exceeding the size" against Bao Minh Phat Trading and Service Company Limited (located in Ha Long commune, Ha Trung district), the vehicle owner, with a fine of 6 million VND.
