9 valedictorians appeared with perfect scores

The Ministry of Education and Training announced the high school graduation exam scores at 8 a.m. on July 16. Immediately after that, more than 1.16 million candidates looked up the results on VTV Times.

Notably, a candidate in Hanoi was valedictorian of both block A01 and D01.

In addition, among the top candidates in block A, there are 2 candidates also from Hanoi with a total score of 30 (including scores in the subjects: Math 10, Physics 10, Chemistry 10).

In addition to scores, candidates can also refer to the score distribution of each subject, university admission combinations, as well as the list of candidates with the highest scores in each subject.

Previously, on the afternoon of July 15, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the score distribution of all subjects in the 2018 general education program. According to experts, the score distribution of some subjects such as Math and English this year is considered "surprisingly beautiful". Meanwhile, many universities predict that this year's benchmark scores may decrease, especially in admission combinations including Math, Chemistry, and English.

The 2025 high school graduation exam is the first exam for students studying the 2018 general education program.

However, to facilitate candidates studying the old program who have not graduated from high school or have graduated but take the exam to use the results for university admission, the Ministry of Education and Training organizes an exam for both subjects studying the two programs, with two different sets of exam questions and different exam methods.

Candidates studying the 2006 program who have not yet graduated from high school will take 4 exams including math, literature, English and 1 of 2 combined exams: natural sciences (including physics, chemistry, biology) and social sciences (including history, geography, civic education). Candidates taking the 2018 program will take 4 exams including math, literature and 2 optional exams from physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, history, geography, economics and law, and foreign languages.

According to the plan, the Departments of Education and Training and high schools will complete the recognition of high school graduation by July 18 at the latest.

Departments of Education and Training will announce high school graduation results no later than July 20.

Units will print and send exam result certificates to candidates no later than July 22.

The collection of appeal applications and the preparation of the appeal list will take place from July 16 to July 25. The organization of the exam appeal (if any) will be completed no later than August 3.

In 2025, 1,165,289 candidates registered to take the high school graduation exam, an increase of 93,894 compared to 2024 (1,071,395 candidates). Of which, 97.71% (1,138,579 students) took the exam under the 2018 general education program; 2.29% (26,711 students) under the 2006 general education program.
