Launching the "Semester in the Army" program in 2025

(CT) - On June 27, the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Youth Union coordinated with the Can Tho City Military Command to organize the launching ceremony of the "Semester in the Army" program in 2025. This is the 15th time the program has been organized to create a useful training playground for teenagers during the summer.

In 2025, the program will organize 2 classes (each class has 100 soldiers) for students aged 9-15 in provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region. The first class of the program will take place in 10 days (from June 27 to July 6, 2025). Students will learn about the traditions of the Vietnam People's Army; be trained in how to arrange military equipment; survival skills, skills to prevent abuse and school violence; practice bare-handed exercises and 16 martial arts movements; play sports ; participate in group games, learn to sing, dance folk dances...

The program aims to educate students to improve discipline in studying and living, as well as to practice independence and necessary life skills. This is a model to arouse and educate patriotism, national pride, contributing to raising the responsibility of the young generation towards the Fatherland.

Immediately after the Departure Ceremony, 100 “young” soldiers began moving to the program location at Infantry Regiment 932 (Cai Rang District, Can Tho City). Before that, the children respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Uncle Ho Monument at Ninh Kieu Wharf.
