That is the heartwarming story of Nguyen Phuong Linh, a student of class 8/6, Phan Boi Chau Secondary School, Dong Hung Thuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, which is being spread widely on social networks, bringing many positive emotions.
Sharing about her actions, Linh said: "My grandmother used to be a military nurse, participating in the war against America, so when I saw the movie "Red Rain", I thought it would be very suitable and meaningful for her. She has many memories associated with that period. I wanted to take her to see it so she could relive those heroic memories."

Linh said she did not want to ask her mother for money but instead did it herself with her own efforts.
"This is my way of telling my grandmother that I love her very much. This action also helps me be more aware of protecting the environment, not littering and collecting plastic bottles to sell," the female student shared.
Mr. Nguyen Tran Lam, Headmaster of Phan Boi Chau Secondary School, the first person to share the clip, said: "Seeing a student wandering around the school picking up scrap metal, I asked and he said he was earning money to take his grandmother to the movies. His family is not poor, but he likes to achieve his own goals. I found this action cute and meaningful so I posted it on social media."
The clip quickly went viral, helping many people know about the young student named Phuong Linh. Teacher Lam also revealed that Linh is an active member of the school's Youth Union Command Board.
"I posted the clip with a happy spirit, I didn't expect it to create such a big effect," said Mr. Lam.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong, Phuong Linh’s mother, could not hide her emotions when sharing her daughter’s story. She said that at first, her grandmother refused to go because she had joint pain and was afraid to move.
"Phuong Linh convinced her to the point of breaking her tongue, then, when she saw the clip about her niece, she was moved and agreed to go," said Kim Phuong.
To make it to the show, she paid in advance for the tickets so that the two of them could go. Mom bought the tickets herself, and Linh is continuing to collect scrap metal to pay her back.
“Yesterday, I fulfilled my wish of taking my grandmother to the movies. I felt very happy. I still have a lot of unsold scrap metal and will continue to collect it to pay for the movie tickets for my grandmother,” Linh said.

Linh's mother also explained that sometimes neighbors collect scrap metal and send it to her grandmother to sell to raise funds for neighborhood organizations and support charitable activities.
The most surprising thing revealed by her mother is that Phuong Linh used to be a child actress, participating in a number of TV series and movies, including the movie "Flip Side 7".
"She joked that she had been acting in movies for years without anyone knowing, but suddenly thanks to this clip, more people knew her. Now people call her "Linh ve chai"," Kim Phuong said with a laugh.
Phuong Linh's story has strongly inspired independence, family love and environmental protection awareness, proving that small actions coming from the heart can create a big effect, spreading good values in life.
