Request to ensure traffic order and safety at BOT Phu Huu

On September 20, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City Police, Thu Duc City People's Committee, Vicem Ha Tien Cement Joint Stock Company and the Road Traffic Infrastructure Management Center regarding ensuring traffic order and safety on Nguyen Thi Tu Street, Phu Huu Ward, Thu Duc City.

Previously, when Phu Huu BOT officially collected tolls on September 17, some residents in the area gathered to protest the toll collection, causing disorder and traffic congestion.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport requested Vicem Ha Tien Cement Joint Stock Company (Phu Huu BOT investor) to urgently fix all infrastructure problems on Nguyen Thi Tu Street and requested to report the results before September 25.

In addition, in another directive document on road service prices at BOT Phu Huu, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested that the investor be responsible for responding to petitions from organizations and individuals related to service fee collection, and arranging human resources and means to promptly handle incidents when they occur.

Therefore, the Department requests Ha Tien Cement Joint Stock Company to comply with the above instructions.

The HCM City Department of Transport requested the People's Committee of Thu Duc City to coordinate with the police and relevant units to ensure absolute safety during the operation of Phu Huu BOT.

The Road Traffic Infrastructure Management Center is assigned to arrange forces to monitor traffic situations in the area, update data on vehicles entering and exiting ports through the station to assess the traffic situation in the area.

Previously, the project of road connecting Nguyen Duy Trinh to Phu Huu Industrial Park (2.6km) was signed by Ho Chi Minh City with the investor to implement under the form of BOT (build - operate - transfer) in 2012. The project has a total investment of about 461 billion VND.
