11 yacht racing teams complete the 2023-2024 season

The Quang Ninh sailing team named “Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam” is led by British captain Josh Stickland.

The yacht racing team “Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam” finished race 7, leg 5 of the Clipper Race Round the World 2023 - 2024 season. The team finished the race in 5th place and docked at Ha Long International Cruise Port.

In the previous season of Clipper Race, although participating for the first time, the Ha Long Bay - Viet Nam sailboat of Quang Ninh excelled over many other racing teams, winning 3rd place overall.

There are 11 racing boats participating in the 2023-2024 season, of which the racing boat of the Quang Ninh team is called “Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam” with the slogan “Endless Discovery”. Previously, in the 4th race, the racing boat “Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam” won. The team is currently ranked 6th in the final rankings.

Quang Ninh Province and related units are continuing to accompany and coordinate with the race Organizing Committee as best as possible, as well as creating favorable conditions and maximum support for sailors participating in the racing fleet named Ha Long Bay - Vietnam.

After docking, the entire crew will have nearly 2 weeks to participate in activities promoting the destination, experiencing and exploring tourism, nature and culture in Ha Long, before continuing the journey on March 2.

Becoming a part of an international sporting event such as the Clipper Round The World Race (Clipper Race) in the 2023-2024 season is a great opportunity for Quang Ninh, Vietnam to promote its tourism image to the world, while attracting international investors.
