According to initial information, at around 4am the same day (June 18), fishing boat QNg 95039 TS owned and captained by Mr. Bui Van Trung and Mr. Bui Van Loi (both residing in Binh Chau commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai), was fishing with a purse seine about 2 nautical miles northeast of Be island (Ly Son district) when it suddenly encountered a water break. The water quickly flooded, causing the boat to lose control and gradually sink.
As soon as the captain detected the risk of sinking, he sent out a distress signal and contacted fishing vessels operating nearby. Upon receiving the information, several local fishing vessels immediately approached the scene and brought all 11 crew members safely aboard.
In addition, local fishing boats have made efforts to deploy a plan to salvage fishing gear and support the rescue of ship QNg 95039 TS, but due to the water breaking too quickly, the entire hull of the ship has completely sunk into the sea.
