"I live in an apartment building near Hoang Dao Thuy. This morning, I went to the market near my house. A bunch of chrysanthemum greens costs 7,000 VND, a bunch costs 9,000 VND, depending on the quality of the greens. Not to mention lettuce costs 7,000 VND/100g, if you buy 30g, it costs 20,000 VND and you still have to fight to buy it" - Ms. Lanh compared.

On the morning of the 3rd, Big C Thang Long supermarket welcomed a large number of customers. According to a supermarket cashier, customers mainly came to buy vegetables, meat and other frozen foods. In addition, items such as Tet candy and fruits were slow to move.

Unlike Big C supermarket, some small supermarkets near residential areas are short of goods, because they have just opened or can only import small quantities.

Surveying the prices of vegetables at the market, pork, shrimp and fish remain the same as usual.

Meat and fish prices at the traditional market remain stable.

However, some vegetables are priced 2-3 times higher than usual. Even water spinach, which costs 15,000 VND a bunch, is hard to find because it sells out quickly.

A trader at Phung Khoang market shared: "On the third day of Tet, many people reopened their stalls. Vegetable prices are high, but not all. For example, tomatoes are still priced at 12,000 VND/kg."

According to this trader, the price of some vegetables is expensive because of high demand, and because it is the Lunar New Year holiday, the supply is lower than usual.
