Following the Prime Minister's direction in Directive 20, Hanoi will implement a roadmap to ban motorcycles and motorbikes using fossil fuels from circulating on Ring Road 1 from July 1, 2026 and continue to expand to Ring Roads 2 and 3 in the following years.
