60,771 customers received policy loans

On July 17, the Hanoi Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies held a conference to evaluate the performance of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.

According to the report of the City Social Policy Bank Branch, as of June 30, the total operating capital at the Branch reached 17,819 billion VND, an increase of 1,210 billion VND compared to the beginning of the year. Of which, the capital entrusted to the locality was 11,215 billion VND, an increase of 1,395 billion VND compared to the beginning of the year, accounting for 63% of the total capital.

Loan turnover in the first 6 months of the year reached 4,606 billion VND, debt collection turnover reached 3,399 billion VND (equal to 74% of loan turnover). The branch has disbursed loans to 60,771 customers. Of which, the branch lent to support job creation for 46,207 workers; supported capital for 14,310 households to renovate and build 28,650 new clean water and sanitation works; supported capital to cover study expenses for 97 students in difficult circumstances according to Decision 157/2007/QD-TTg; lent to 83 people who had completed their prison sentences for production and business; lent to 63 customers for social housing...

Total outstanding debt of policy credit programs as of June 30 reached VND17,774 billion with 261,661 customers borrowing capital, an increase of VND1,207 billion compared to the beginning of the year, a growth rate of 7.3%.

Implementing the policy of rearranging commune-level administrative units, the Branch actively coordinated with local authorities and socio-political organizations to review and consolidate savings and loan groups in the area; advised the Commune People's Committee to arrange 503 transaction points of the Social Policy Bank at the headquarters of the new commune and ward People's Committees, the headquarters of the Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, the cultural house, the people's meeting house, the old People's Committee headquarters; maintained transaction activities at the commune according to a fixed monthly schedule to best serve the beneficiaries.

In the last months of the year, the Hanoi Branch of the Social Policy Bank continued to coordinate with departments, branches, and agencies advising the City People's Committee to issue a Decision to replace Decision No. 60/2024/QD-UBND on regulations on management and use of local budget capital entrusted through the Social Policy Bank for lending to the poor and other policy beneficiaries in the area, ensuring compliance with reality; urging units to focus on disbursing growth capital and recovered capital...

At the conference, a ceremony was held to announce the Decision to commend the Director of the City Social Policy Bank Branch for collectives that excellently completed their tasks in the first 6 months of 2025 and to launch emulation to successfully complete tasks in the last 6 months of 2025.
