730 billion VND to turn Tuy Hoa into a city that never sleeps

In Tuy Hoa city, except for a few places like Ward 7 night market, Phan Luu Thanh walking street, pubs... almost the entire city is... closed after 9pm.

Tourists have not had enough fun yet, because the city goes to bed early.

Ms. Le Thao Trang (32 years old, tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) said: "It was only 10 pm but the shops in the center of Tuy Hoa were already cleaning up. After going to Nghinh Phong tower, we walked around a bit and had a drink at a nearby shop before returning to the hotel."

Mr. Nguyen Van Khang (tourist from Da Nang ) shared that Tuy Hoa should create more night tours such as night art performances at Nhan tower, bars and clubs along the coast should be really vibrant and extend their operating hours to 3am, or have 24/7 coffee shops for guests to drink coffee and watch the night view of the city...

According to Mr. Ho Van Tien - Chairman of Phu Yen Tourism Association, the locality has organized many events and night tourism products in the past but still cannot meet the needs of tourists because of limited operating time and unspecial products.

"Although there are night streets and night markets, the items sold here are very popular, such as clothes, grilled skewers...

"The city should display and sell specialties, organize themed activities in the market such as displaying and experiencing playing lithophones, experiencing tuna meat, etc. In addition, it is necessary to create favorable conditions in terms of premises or promotion so that businesses and individuals can do business with peace of mind," Mr. Tien suggested.

Tuy Hoa night market will be open until 6am, bars will be open until 2am

The pilot project to develop the night-time economy in the city until 2030 focuses on serving the people, domestic and foreign tourists, and is divided into two phases.

In the period of 2024 - 2025, night markets in Ward 7 and Tuy Hoa market will operate from 6pm - 6am the following morning. Underground bars in Wards 7 and 9 will open from 6pm - 2am the following morning; coastal parks will open from 6pm - 11pm...

Dien Bien Phu Street, Hung Vuong Commercial Street, Le Trung Kien and Phan Luu Thanh Walking Streets operate from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Tourist attractions such as Nhan Tower, April 1st Square, and Nghinh Phong Tower will operate from 6pm to 11pm... In addition, convenience stores and supermarkets in the city will also operate from 6pm to 11pm.

In the period 2026 - 2030, Ho Son lake will organize entertainment activities on the water (water polo, boating, puppetry, floating lanterns...); street music, fast food stalls, vending machines... from 6pm - 11pm.

There are also night tours in Tuy Hoa City. Visitors will experience cuisine and take city tours by tram, double-decker bus...

Nguyen Van Huyen Book Street displays and sells books and products related to reading culture, or river and sea tours... the operating hours of these tours are also from 6pm to 11pm.

Total investment for night-time economic development in Tuy Hoa City by 2030 is about 730 billion VND (state budget capital is 12 billion VND and other legal capital sources are 718 billion VND).

In the 2024 - 2025 period, the existing facilities will be renovated and developed, and a number of items will be built to develop the night-time economy. The total investment is about 60 billion VND.

The 2026-2030 period calls for and attracts investment in large-scale projects and specialized entertainment areas. The total investment for this period is about 670 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thang - Vice Chairman of Tuy Hoa City People's Committee - said that currently bars and night entertainment areas are limited to operating hours until 11pm. The above project will help destinations operate longer, meet the needs of tourists and develop night tourism.
