Runner-up Luong My Ky denies rumors of 'avoiding' Huong Giang

Luong My Ky was born in 1999, from Tien Giang , and won the 1st runner-up prize at the Miss International Queen Vietnam 2020 contest (founded by Huong Giang).

Soon, this beauty will go to Thailand to participate in the Miss Fabulous International 2023 contest.

The news that Luong My Ky will participate in an international beauty contest surprised many people. Previously, she was announced to compete in Miss International Queen - Miss International Transgender in 2022. However, later, Huong Giang's side organized to find a new representative to this beauty arena. This caused Luong My Ky to lose the opportunity to participate in the contest despite having trained hard.

Since then, Luong My Ky and Huong Giang rarely appeared together. This noise made many people speculate that their relationship had cracked, even "turned their backs" on each other.

Luong My Ky is the first runner-up of Miss International Queen Vietnam 2020.

Responding to VTC News , Luong My Ky affirmed that she and Huong Giang still maintain a good relationship, however due to busy work, the two rarely have the opportunity to meet each other.

"Maybe because we are both busy with work, we don't have much time to meet. That's also the reason why many people think we "ignore" each other. I always consider Huong Giang as my senior in the profession and always respect her," she shared.

The transgender runner-up also revealed that a few days ago she texted Huong Giang to share that she would participate in an international competition.

"I texted Ms. Huong Giang to inform her and apologize for making her sad. She also encouraged me and cheered me on to do my best in the upcoming competition," the beauty shared.

Luong My Ky also admitted that when she heard about losing her spot to participate in Miss International Queen , she was very sad. She spent many days crying because of disappointment when she had devoted all her heart to training for that contest.

Transgender beauty possesses sweet beauty.

Talking about participating in Miss Fabulous International 2023 next December in Thailand, Luong My Ky said she has prepared carefully and practiced her skills to prepare for participation.

Responding to the fact that her contest was considered a "village beauty pageant", Luong My Ky responded: "Until now, I've only heard about contests organized on a large or small scale, but no one has ever said anything about "village beauty pageant", "commune beauty pageant", "garden beauty pageant".

People can watch Miss Fabulous International in previous years, see the camera angle, see how the president chose the top 3 and then judge whether this is a "village contest" or not. I entered the contest this time with a proper license and did not compete illegally."

It is known that Luong My Ky has prepared carefully for this journey. She has taken catwalk lessons with supermodel Vo Hoang Yen - a famous catwalk training master at the present time. Along with that, she also had conversations with beauty experts.

The beauty said that recently she has also improved her English and Thai to be able to communicate well in the contest.

Regarding the cost issue, My Ky said she spent a large amount of money to invest in this beauty contest.

"I only had nearly 4 months to prepare everything for the contest. I am a perfectionist and meticulous person, so I always want everything to be perfect. If we talk about the amount of money spent on this contest, it is countless, but it is a lot," the beauty said.

Participating in an international beauty pageant has made the transgender beauty have high expectations. She hopes to bring home the first Miss Fabulous International crown for Vietnam, which is also the second transgender crown after Huong Giang.

"I really hope that happens. If not, it's okay because being able to bring my parents along to watch me perform at the competition is enough to satisfy me," the beauty expressed.

The Miss Fabulous International 2023 contest will take place from November 27 to December 3 in Thailand.
