1st Runner-up of Mister Vietnam accompanies vitiligo patients

Participating in a seminar on vitiligo, runner-up Minh Toai understands and appreciates the determination of patients who dare to overcome their inferiority complex to rise up in life.

In response to the celebration of World Vitiligo Day (June 25), Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine in collaboration with Medcare Dermatology Clinic and Medcare Medical Personnel Training Center (MTC) organized a scientific seminar with the topic of Updating the treatment of vitiligo and depigmentation of skin diseases . Besides the doctors, the program also had the participation of runner-up Minh Toai and MC Quan Han.

At the event, runner-up Minh Toai and MC Quan Han both hoped to use their influence to join experts and patients in building a society without discrimination, where medicine not only heals the body, but also supports the spirit.

The first runner-up of Mister Vietnam 2024 shared: "Attending this conference, I not only gained more knowledge about dermatology, but also had the opportunity to learn about the community project Erase - Draw the future . I truly admire the dedication of the medical team and appreciate even more the journey of overcoming inferiority complexes and rising up in life of the patients. Those are very inspirational stories for me."

Minh Toai and Quan Han hope that the stories at the workshop will help people better understand vitiligo.

Meanwhile, MC Quan Han hopes that people will have a more sympathetic view of patients with vitiligo. "Before attending the conference, I used to think vitiligo was simply a skin problem. But through the stories here, I understand that behind those white spots are so many complexes, hurts and the will to overcome. I hope that not only today but every day in the future, we will all look at others with sympathy instead of prejudice. Beauty does not lie in the color of the skin but in the kindness and courage of each person," she said.

The workshop not only opens up new hope in treatment, but also marks a step forward in the journey to change social awareness about vitiligo. It is a journey that needs more light of knowledge, compassion and the cooperation of the whole community.
