Commenting on the victory of the Vietnamese futsal team, AFC wrote: “The Vietnamese futsal team showed their dominance right from the opening whistle when facing Hong Kong. It only took them 6 minutes to score two goals by Doan Phat and Thinh Phat.
By the 10th minute, Nhan Gia Hung had scored. Before the first half ended, the Vietnamese futsal team had two more goals by Nguyen Da Hai and Pham Duc Hoa.
Hong Kong scored a goal early in the second half through Tsang Tsz Hin. However, they continued to suffer the wrath of the Vietnamese futsal team. Tu Minh Quang scored a hat-trick and Nguyen Manh Dung scored 1 goal in the second half to help the Southeast Asian team win 9-1. It was a favorable start for the Vietnamese futsal team.

Coach Diego Giustozzi expressed his satisfaction after the match. He said this was a good start. However, the goal of the Vietnamese team is to focus on each match. After this victory, the whole team will prepare for the match against host China, taking place on September 22.
If they win against host China in the next match, the Vietnamese futsal team has a high chance of winning a ticket to the Asian tournament. The opponents in this group all have FIFA rankings much lower than the team of coach Diego Giustozzi.
